The purpose of the Morris Plains Home and School Association, according to Article III in our bylaws, is to achieve a closer relationship between home and school for the purpose of uniting the efforts of educators and the general public to secure the highest advantages in all aspects of education for all children and youth.
As a membership association, the HSA has the authority to:
Pursue activities in the school that enhance the educational environment and support the education of children and youth.
Offer activities to its membership that promote communication and that build relationships among it constituencies: educators and administrators, other educational staff, parents and residents of Morris Plains.
Raise funds and other resources for educational purposes and related community activity.
Advocate to secure adequate public policies and laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
A copy of the HSA bylaws is available at all HSA meetings and by request.
The MPHSA meets monthly in the Borough School Learning Center. Please see the HSA CALENDAR for our schedule.
Our meetings are the perfect venue to become informed and to participate in the discussion of current activities and new ideas. We also receive updates from the school Principals and Board of Education.
All are welcomed and encouraged to attend!
Can't attend? Please share your ideas, thoughts, and feedback with us using the "What's On Your Mind?" feature. All submissions will be reviewed by the MPHSA Executive Board.
